Our luxury Lake District accommodation consists of 34 bedrooms, 2 Junior Suites and 2 luxury Suites, which reflect the country house feel of the Hotel.
All rooms have luxurious Egyptian cotton linen, flat screen TV’s, direct-dial telephones, WI-FI internet access and complimentary tea & coffee facilities. There are many personal touches to enhance your stay, for example our own specially-bottled mineral water. All our rooms also have well-equipped bathrooms, bathrobes and luxury toiletries. Room service is available on request. We have a lift available to all floors.
The different standard of rooms available range from:
- Court Yard Standard: these well equipped rooms have all the facilities but are generally not as spacious and do not have views
- Classic Standard: Good sized with all the facilities and mostly on the side of the hotel with distant views
- Village View: Character rooms, with lovely furnishings, new Villeroy and Bosch or feature bathrooms enjoying an outlook onto Grasmere Village
- Mountain & Garden View: stylish rooms the best views with luxurious new Villeroy and Bosch bathrooms, slippers and quality toiletries
- Tennyson and Scott Junior Suites: very spacious rooms with style, sofas and king size beds, IPod docks, cool bathrooms, slippers and quality toiletries
- DeQuincy and Ruskin Suites: spacious, very comfortable with a separate lounge, 2 large lcd tv’s, king size beds, IPod docks, new sleek bathrooms, slippers, quality toiletries and stunning views
Three rooms are on the ground floor for guests with poor mobility. We also have rooms with walk-in showers for those with mobility issues or if that is your preference. Honeymooners or old romantics celebrating special occasions have a choice of four-poster rooms or our suites. For families we have adjoining rooms with twin or single beds. We have two single rooms, doubles may be let subject to availability at a supplement. There is a lift to both upper floors. Dogs are allowed to stay in our ground floor bedrooms but not allowed in the public rooms other than the Garden Room and the Dove Bar.
