Lime Health and Beauty Spa now open
The Wordsworth’s Hotel brand new spa is now open to both residents and non-residents.
The treatments are amazing, I’ve just tried out one of the facials which was incredible! Take a look at what’s on offer…

William Wordsworth’s Grandson has just paid his annual family visit to our hotel but this year it was a bit special as it was Anthony Wordsworth’s 70th Birthday, and like his grandfather William who on his 70th climbed Helvellyn so did he with his son and grandson.
After a full day walking the family enjoyed a lovely meal in our lovely Signature Restaurant and had a walk around the infamous Daffodil Gardens.
New treatment rooms and nail bar
We will be launching our very own in house health and beauty treatment rooms and nail bar at the beginning of June.
Right now all treatments can be offered in the comfort of your bedroom.
Outdoor Weddings in our new Gazebo
We have erected a Gazebo in the beautiful gardens of The Wordsworth Hotel and Spa, ideal for blessings, weddings, civil ceremonies and private dining.

Refurb galore!
We have completed our “Tiffany Room”, well that’s what we’ve nicknamed it, really it’s Room 8!
This stunning Executive Room has wonderful fell views and so far has received a great number of compliments!

1st peek at the new Ruskin Suite
We’ve completed the Ruskin Suite and we think it looks lovely! It has a brand new bathroom suite which includes a separate show cubicle and jacuzzi bath. The bedroom has new furnishings and the most amazing chair which everyone wants! The lounge feels spacious and luxurious with it’s new sofas and curtains, take a look at our accommodation page for a peek at some pictures.
The Ruskin Suite is almost finished
Our refurbishments and upgrading of the hotel never seem to stop. Everyday new things are arriving, but what we’re very excited about is our new Suite .
We thought that The Ruskin Suite deserved a 4 Star make over and that’s exactly what is has been given, it has been refurbished from head to toe including a new bathroom. It’s about 72hrs away from being complete, as soon as it’s finished we’ll post some pictures for you online and we know you’ll be impressed.
Popping in for tea by helicopter!
We had some guests come for afternoon tea on Saturday who arrived in their helicopter! Luckily we do have our own landing pad, but we were very excited nonetheless.
The glamerous group popped in for a quick refreshment on their way upto Newcastle to go and watch the match at St James Park!

We’re causing a stir!
Our new SIGNATURE restaurant is proving very popular, last weekend we we turning people away as we were so busy.

Signature is open!
The new restaurant is complete and we couldn’t be more pleased with it! (Even if we do say so ourselves!!!) We’ve uploaded some pics on the dining page so take a look.
We’ve also now refurbished lots of bedrooms and have built a disabled toilet, if only it ended there. We’re now about to refit the leisure are changing rooms, extend the gym and install state of the art equipment! Plus we want to have all this done by April, so we’ve got a busy time ahead. This work will be done with the minimum disruption to guests – the pool etc. will remain open.
