The four star Wordsworth Hotel is now under new ownership and has recently undergone extensive refurbishment, making it a perfect venue for Lake District weddings, wedding receptions, vow renewal ceremonies or celebrations.
This historic country house hotel stands in two acres of landscaped riverside gardens in the heart of Grasmere village next to the St Oswald’s church surrounded by superb Lakeland views, ideal for your Lake District wedding photography.
We are licensed for civil ceremonies and can accommodate weddings from two people to one hundred. There are a variety of options of where you can hold your wedding ceremony and reception, from our intimate garden room, perfect for smaller weddings, to our Conservatory, Coleridge Suite or brand new Signature Restaurant. On Summer days you could even be married in our new outdoor Gazebo. If you would prefer a church ceremony or blessing then St. Oswalds is next door and offer traditional or candle lit ceremonies.

We still have dates for Summer and Winter 2010 and special rates available for 26th August, 12th September and 19th September 2010 and some dates in November and December.
